Bianca Körner

Bianca
... is the musical project of Bianca Körner (voc) from Essen and Peter Schilmöller (gtr), who lives in Enschede in the Netherlands. Both can look back on a background in jazz studies, but this time they have joined forces to bring their own German-language songs to the stage.
They will be presenting their music at the Querbeet Festival. Songs that are thematically taken from the heart of life: They are about relationships and encounters, dreams and their realization as well as the great risk of simply being yourself.
The hip and superficial coolness of some young singer-songwriters is alien to the two, as is the self-promoting virtuosity they often encountered during their jazz studies. Instead, they search for their own personal expression in the German language and in clear melodies that reflect what moves them.

Concert with the Vocal Jazz Ensemble from Zwolle (NL)

The Vocal Jazz Ensemble from Zwolle will be performing in the Metropolengarten for the second time

The Vocal Jazz Ensemble is made up of 8 female singers: Alice van Wee, Naoca Palapessy, Laetitia Stengel, Jikke Garittsen, Sofie de Bruijn, Liv Onwijn, Jasmijn Poutsma and Hinrien de Roo. As part of their curriculum (ArtEZ Conservatory of Music in Zwolle NL), they take part in the jazz and pop choir for two years.
Six years ago, this choir gave rise to the close-harmony formation "Vocal Group", from which today's Vocal Jazz Ensemble has developed. Under the musical direction of John Hondorp, the ensemble presents stylistically diverse vocal music with a focus on jazz and pop.

Meinhard Siegel Trio+

The Meinhard Siegel Trio+ has been a guest at the Querbeet Kulturfestival in the Metropolengarten since 2018. And for several years now, the Trfio+ has played the closing concert of the festival. As always, the 4 musicians present pieces from their 3 CDs as well as current material from the pen of Meinhard Siegel, who now lives and works in Rotthausen.
