In the organizer's words:
Workshop: The Body. Drawing. Art.
Portrait drawing for beginners and advanced students in the unique atmosphere of the Palais Nesselrode, with intensive guidance and instruction from artist Alexander Edisherov.
The Hetjens – German Ceramics Museum houses within its walls a fascinating collection of diverse depictions of the human body from a wide range of eras. Both prehistoric and modern examples of ceramic art are on display at the museum. Whether delicately and intricately crafted in porcelain or simply shaped in clay, all materials and techniques have been used in art and craftsmanship to depict the human body.
Inspired by these representations, the workshop is entirely dedicated to the human body. The workshop leader, Alexander Edisherov, believes that “drawing is a universal language.”
Working together in small groups, participants will learn and explore the aspects and techniques of portrait drawing. Special attention will be given to the secrets of perspective and anatomy. Of course, fun and the joy of drawing are also integral parts of this dynamic process.
