ORCHESTER ZUM ANFASSEN
In the organizer's words:
Experience music with the ASO at the Kulturhaus Milbertshofen.
The Munich Academic Symphony Orchestra brings classical music right to your neighborhood—with free admission and no need to sit still for hours on end.
As the highlight, we’ll perform Sergei Prokofiev’s fairy tale “Peter and the Wolf” with a full orchestra. You’ll also hear string and wind instruments playing music by Raff and Britten.
A pop song just for cellists and melodies from Disney’s “Aladdin” make this morning the perfect opportunity for anyone who simply wants to get a close-up taste of classical music.
BR-KLASSIK host Alexander Naumann, known from “DoReMikro,” guides the audience through the concert with humor and fun games. Instruments are introduced, what’s happening in the orchestra is explained, and the audience is welcome to ask questions at any time. Anyone who wants to can sit in the middle of the orchestra for a while and experience the sound right around them.
This isn’t a “formal” concert: you’re free to come and go as you please; young and old alike are welcome to be curious; and no one has to dress up or sit perfectly still. Families with children, as well as adults and seniors from Milbertshofen and the surrounding area who are in the mood for a Sunday filled with music, are invited—just drop by and experience the music with the ASO.
