Mackefisch - Komplizirkus
In the organizer's words:
Mackefisch do something extraordinary. And not just because, with four arms and legs, they seem to play 20 instruments at once—from homemade suitcase drums, a tap-dancing shoe made of rattles, cork boards, and horns—to a tap-dancing shoe—to banjo, guitar, and even a keyboard that blends accomplished piano playing with crazy synth sounds. Nor is it because their
two-part vocals effortlessly shift between ravishingly beautiful and breathtakingly fast-paced. Or because they deliver incomparably funny, poetic, and merciless lyrics.
What’s truly unique about this award-winning mini-band is the feeling you take home with you after the concert. And it’s a damn good one: Mackefisch’s KOMPLIZIRKUS doesn’t just let you forget all your worries. Even with all their good humor and sophisticated rhythms, Lucie Mackert and Peter Fischer definitely give serious topics their due. No, not just space—a circus ring! And just like that, heavy thoughts leap through sparkling hoops to rousing music, juggle good ideas, and let themselves be soothed. And you realize: after an evening with Mackefisch, the weight of the world just feels so much lighter.
Mackefisch are winners of numerous awards (including the St. Ingberter Pfanne Cabaret Award, the Baden-Württemberg Cabaret Promotion Award, the Mindener Stichling Cabaret Award, and the Funny For Future Song Contest).
