Chris Masterman is a TV weather anchor whose glory days are long behind him. One day, he is assigned to travel to the town of Broome—in the middle of the Australian outback. Due to a moment of inattention, he hits a baby kangaroo, and while searching for help, he meets Lilly, an 11-year-old Indigenous girl who immediately takes care of the injured animal. The two become friends, and as they try to rescue more baby kangaroos, an exciting adventure begins for both of them…
