Kultursommer Starnberg 2026 - Ami Warning

In the organizer's words:

Ami Warning will be playing several festival shows again in 2026, and it's never been about delivering the perfect glittering pop show, but much more about the authenticity and the edges that Ami and her band convey from the very first note and that you can feel immediately as a listener. When slow hip-hop grooves kick in and Ami begins to sing along, it is immediately clear that this voice is recognizable among thousands, sometimes scratchy and imperfect, then again deep and soft. Ami Warning grew up with music, even as a child she often attended her father's concerts and now she has been writing her own songs for over 10 years and has already performed on various stages. (support Milky Chance, Annenmaykatereit, Suzanne Vega, collaborations with the Goethe Institute in France, Norway, Canada and New York)

Her songs are about moments that everyone has experienced in one way or another and which sometimes bring tears to your eyes and then make you dance away again thanks to Ami's unfiltered honesty.

In terms of genre, Ami's music is many things. Somewhere between Jack Johnson, the female Henning May and Tracy Chapman you could perhaps categorize her, even if pigeonholing is actually superfluous. To get a real picture, you have to see it, nothing is overly rehearsed, everything feels natural.

Ami will be accompanied by Fiora - she is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter from Göttingen who began her musical career with honest German-language songs such as "viertel nach vier" and "fahrrad" and now performs as support for larger bands.
