Cephalopods and other creatures flit through abstract fantasy worlds; here, a chaos of colors emerges; there, a geometric order; over there, individual letters and texts—some with meaning, some without. Instead of naturalism, we pursue a simplified depiction of animals and humans, as is also found in the world of comics and street art.
We’ll be painting with acrylic markers and brushes on a wooden structure that will be temporarily set up in front of LUISE. No prior artistic experience is required, as virtually anything goes and is encouraged.And don’t worry—if your creativity or hands are feeling stuck, Kritzel and Krakel have a few tips up their sleeves.

Bine Mayer, an artist from Munich, runs the screen-printing workshop at the Färberei, among other projects, and combines abstract fantasy images with the simplified lines of the cartoon style in her comic art.
