Brutal jokes with Austrian humor are Julia Brandner's trademark. As a queer person in a conservative, Catholic girls' school, she quickly learned to use humor as a coping mechanism for all kinds of things and to make fun of the injustices and prejudices of this world. In her comedy, she speaks unpleasant truths about dating, queerness and prejudice and sometimes tells the audience things they don't necessarily want to hear but should - and which they can still laugh about. With her Viennese accent, you can forgive her a lot anyway.
