Jazz-Messen im Doppelpack

A concert evening full of rhythm, passion and musical diversity awaits the audience on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 5 pm in the Herz-Jesu-Kirche Düsseldorf. Together with soloists and instrumentalists, the state government choir will present two extraordinary works of modern choral music: A Little Jazz Mass by Bob Chilcott and Mass in Blue by Will Todd. Both compositions combine traditional mass texts with the sound colors and rhythms of jazz in a fascinating way.

The program is complemented by the Suite for Saxophone and Jazz Piano Trio by Claude Bolling, a virtuoso mediator between baroque and jazz. The audience can look forward to a varied and rousing concert experience that combines the special atmosphere of the church with the energy of jazz.

The choir also welcomes interested new singers, especially in the tenor and bass voices.
