It all starts with someone who knows how to fill a room with music: Felix Ziech, jazz musician from Essen with a keen sense for the right tempo and the right moment, brings his ensemble to the Eine gute Adresse and opens the new series Jazz im Wandel. The program includes standards and compositions from the great history of jazz, played by musicians who not only master this music, but really love it. An evening for everyone who wants to experience jazz as it is meant to be: close, lively and without distance to the stage.

Lorenz Knauft is a young jazz saxophonist and flautist from Essen. He is currently studying to become a jazz performing artist specializing in jazz saxophone at the Folkwang University of the Arts.
His musical style combines traditional swing with energetic grooves and the warm sound aesthetics of 1950s rhythm & blues. In various formations, he has already been awarded several prizes from Jugend Jazzt or a scholarship from the Dörken Foundation.

As a member of the Bundesjazzorchester, his soul-jazz quartet Cactus in a Garage and his rhythm'n'blues band Boogie Banausen, Lorenz has already performed on stages around the world.
In November 2025, his latest album with the band Cactus in a Garage was released on the Cologne label JazzJazz Records.
