25 years ago, a group of friends got together in Adelaide who had no idea at the time that they would change heavy music worldwide forever. I Killed The Prom Queen were not only a band that laid the foundations for the metalcore sound, but also a cultural force that was crucial to the success of countless metal and hardcore bands that followed. Genre giants such as Parkway Drive and Bring Me The Horizon are among the bands that would not be the bands they are today without them. With their three albums, Prom Queen not only changed the genre - they defined it.
In 2025, the founding members - singer Michael Crafter, guitarists Jona Weinhofen and Kevin Cameron and drummer JJ Peters - reunite to celebrate their formative years with a set from the first decade of the band's history. Jamie Hope, the band's former vocalist, will honor the musical legacy of late bassist Sean Kennedy.
