Just imagine, right in the heart of the Ruhr: the most beautiful fries stand in the world. Selma and Alper are sick and tired of racism and now serve only fresh sweet potato fries to soothe the soul. Between fries and dips and cold drinks, they share stories from the Ruhr. The evening’s host, Arman aka Dein Couseng, welcomes perspectives from migrants and the diaspora. The stand becomes a hotspot for migrants, allies, and anyone who wants to become one. An open-air performance with plenty of love in your stomach—and in your heart.

The artistic program combines performance, music, and discourse in a show format. Director Philip Gregor Grüneberg and dramaturg Aylin Kreckel are bringing together an intercultural team from North Rhine-Westphalia for the project. Their collaboration is rooted in a shared commitment to empowerment, allyship, and social transformation that links art and political action.

Funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the NRW State Office for the Independent Performing Arts, the Socio-Cultural Fund with funding from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, the NRW Cultural Secretariat in Wuppertal, the Witten Cultural Forum, the City of Dortmund, and the City of Bochum.
