Giga-Hertz-Preis: Premierenkonzert 2026

The premiere concert is part of the festival's Fellow Futures theme and brings together artistic approaches that explore new forms of listening. Three artistic positions, three world premieres: Radical designs for counterlistening unfold between participation, experimental music theater and turntables.

Three world premieres are the focus of the Giga-Hertz premiere concert on July 16, 2026 at ZKM | Kubus. New works by Davor Vincze, Jug Marković & Thea Soti and NikNak (Nicole Raymond) will be presented, each of which was awarded the Giga-Hertz Production Prize 2025.

With Let the System Guide, Davor Vincze is developing a performative setting that places the audience itself at the center. His work questions control structures and opens up spaces in which deviation and resistance become productive.

Jug Marković and Thea Soti combine experimental music theater with electronic improvisation in their project Trashold. Their works revolve around voice, body and digital networking and unfold as fragmentary, polyphonic narratives.

NikNak (Nicole Raymond) is one of the defining voices between turntablism, sound art and Afrofuturism. Her album Ireti combines field recordings, modular synthesis and DJ techniques to create immersive soundscapes.
