A doll's house. A perfect housewife. A perfect world? Not with Laurie Simmons (1949*). Her staged everyday worlds in miniature raise questions about role models, social expectations, happiness and success.
We discover the famous photo series In and Around the House (1978/79), encounter the modern Kaleidoscope House with its focus on architecture and design and find out why Simmons is one of the most important artists of the "Pictures Generation".
The dialog between doll and human in the film "Music of Regret" with Meryl Streep is also surprisingly topical and poetic!
