In the organizer's words:

On Sunday, July 12, 26, we’ll be celebrating the closing of the collaborative exhibitionROM. ROM? ROM!The venue will be open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and starting at 3 p.m., you can look forward to two performances (Insa Schülting, E-FLUX Ensemble) as well as the presentation of the project publication of the same name.

About the exhibition:
To mark the 250th anniversary ofthe Düsseldorf Art Academyin 2023, artists from the Dakić class for film and video embarked for the first time on a real and imaginary journey to Rome—that place of longing, myth-making, and artistic renewal. The works created by students and alumni between Rome and Düsseldorf gave rise to an exhibition series (2023–2026) that unfolded as a journey—as an exhibition in motion. Using various artistic media, the participants—individually and in groups—explored the themes of nature and culture within the context of a globalized world.

ROM. ROM? ROM!is conceived as an artistic research project, a structure of spatial and temporal overlaps that, through an engagement with historical references, opens up a new perspective on current issues and creates space for experimental, collaborative, and process-oriented working methods. The combination of further developments and new creations in the works reflects the complexity of the participating artists—their ability to think in ways that transcend space and to continually reposition themselves. The research-based nature of the exhibition allows it to raise questions rather than provide answers.
