DoggyDay
In the organizer's words:
On the first Friday of every month—and now, for the time being, on a one-time Saturday as well—dogs are allowed to roam freely at the Neanderthal Museum. As long as they’re on a leash and accompanied by well-behaved owners, they can explore the permanent exhibition in the relaxed atmosphere of a Friday afternoon. Encounters with the reconstructions of Neanderthals and other early humans regularly elicit a smile or two. Find all the details about DoggyDay here.
Note regarding DoggyDay on Saturday, July 12, 2026: Tickets are strictly limited and can therefore only be purchased online.
We’d also love to welcome you to the museum café and the rooftop terrace!
Important note: For safety reasons, dogs are unfortunately not allowed on the Adventure Tower. However, they may be kept on a leash at the base of the tower.
Price information:
The stated price is only the entrance fee for the owner. Participation in "DoggyDay" costs 2 euros per dog plus admission for the owner.
