The Spirits I Summoned – A Photo Workshop by Jens Kabisch and Tim Davies.
For everyone ages 14 and up.

As part of the exhibition *Imaginary Friends* by Jens Kabisch at the Maximiliansforum, the artist will lead a Ö_photo workshop at the Maximiliansforumtogether with Tim Davis. During the Ö_workshop, we’ll explore the possibility of making the invisible visible. Jens Kabisch and Tim Davies will draw on various techniques of ghost photography, which participants can try out for themselves.

One of these techniques is pinhole photography, which artist Tim Davis will introduce to you: Pinhole photography allows you to create photographs using the simplest of means. Due to the small aperture and the prevailing lighting conditions, exposure times can range from two to twenty minutes. During this time, the subjects have the opportunity to playfully engage with the image. It is precisely the unpredictability of this approach that produces exciting results and surprisingly beautiful moments captured in the images.

Exhibition from June 24 to September 27, 2026, at the MaximiliansForum + Ö – Passage for Art and Design. An art space of the City of Munich (Maximilianstraße underpass / Altstadtring || Viewable 24 hours a day. The passage is not wheelchair accessible.)

Every Saturday from June 27 to September 26, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., an open invitation from Jens Kabisch and Dieter Hammer to the MaximiliansForum.
