Der Nacht der Ideen - Neckar Tribunal

Director, artist, and attorney Lily Abichahine is conceiving and staging a public debate in the form of a symbolic court. Activists, artists, researchers, government officials, and users of the Neckar River from France, Germany, and other countries are invited to testify.

The performance tribunal will address the recognition of the rights of nature, the protection of the Neckar as a common good, and the contradictions arising from its intensive use.

In case of inclement weather, the performance will be moved to the Institut français (Berliner Platz).

The performance will take place in three languages (German, French, and English). The English sections will not be translated, but the German and French sections will be. Therefore, knowledge of English plus (German or French) is required.
