Aachen celebrates democracy, equality, and community!
The growing initiative “Wir alle Aachen”invites you to a free democracy festival on July 11 from 12:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Platz für Demokratie in Aachen.
The initiative sees itself as an open coalition of citizens, organizations, and institutions. Its goal is to take responsibility for ensuring an equitable and democratic coexistence among all people, to build bridges beyond one’s own “bubble,” and to send a powerful message of solidarity and participation.
Following an interactive week of activities, the Democracy Festival serves as the festive and communal highlight in the heart of the city.
The program includes various activities:
- Hands-on activities: screen printing, upcycling, clothing swap, kids’ tattoos, information booths, and much more.
- Food and drinks: Maitre Patrick, Uno & Anton’s Milchbar, Bahkauv
- Stage program: Soundschwestern, Chrsonant, Dan O’Clock, Ferris, and much more.
- Party with Vamello until 10:00 p.m.
