Venue: Hall X
Slam poetry, politics and pop music live, all at once and queer? The Munich City Library is hosting a special edition of our "Queer through society" series during Pride Month. True to the motto of this year's CSD Munich: "Our diversity. Our strength".
We have invited a fantastic panel for this:
Our guests talk about all of this with presenter and journalist Maxi Pichlmeier, who guides us through the evening with journalistic skill and empathy.
Queers and allies welcome! Queer-friendly event for community and friends.
Drinks and snacks will be provided at the get-together afterwards.
This event is part of the Pride Weeks.
Maximilian Pichlmeier @maxis.pics, born in 1994, is a moderator, editor and content creator. He is one of the hosts of BR24's News-WG, a news format that communicates political news on Instagram. He talks about queer topics on his own accounts on TikTok and Instagram. Since 2025, he has hosted the "Queer durch die Gesellschaft" series at the Munich City Library.
LUNA @lunaamusic, born in 2002, gained attention at the age of 17 with her TikTok videos. She established herself early on in the German music scene with her coming-out songs "blau" and "Verlierer". In her music, she deals openly and authentically with topics such as sexuality, girl crushes and body image.
Rune Vollbehr @poetryrune, born in 2003, initiated Munich's first queer poetry slam - the "Queer Slam Munich" @queerslammuc. Rune describes himself as a spoken word punk. He has already performed on countless poetry slam stages throughout the German-speaking world (including Italy!), confronting audiences with a wild mix of witty nonsense and hard-hitting political posturing. In addition, Rune regularly writes about (his own) queerness and convinces at demos and pride parades with hymn-like poems to join in.
Ocean Hale Meissner @ocean_hale_meissner, born in 1997, campaigns for more visibility and safety for queer people in rural areas of eastern Germany. In regions that are still characterized by exclusion, hatred and violence towards all those who do not conform to the supposed "norm", Ocean works with activist educational work for an open-minded and non-discriminatory coexistence. Ocean's aim is not only to protect queer life, but to make it a matter of course. With workshops, speeches and panel discussions, Ocean shows how queer people in rural areas can become active themselves and how supporters from West German or urban contexts can act in solidarity and effectively.
