Frankfurt, June 6, 2026 - Ten years, five bands, one stage: the Bandsupporter Contest is celebrating its anniversary with a finale that packs a punch. On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the legendary Nachtleben Frankfurt will open its doors for the Finale Grande of the 10th Bandsupporter Contest - and in a doubly special year: Bandsupporter will be a proud 20 years old in 2026.

A stage with history

Nachtleben Frankfurt is much more than just a venue. For decades, the club has been considered one of the most important breeding grounds for the independent music scene in the Rhine-Main region - a place where bands took their first big steps before filling festival stages and concert halls. Anyone who has played here knows that the nightlife gives music room to breathe, grow and explode. For up-and-coming bands, a night on this stage is more than just a concert - it's a promise.

It is precisely this spirit that has characterized the Bandsupporter Contest from the very beginning. For two decades, Bandsupporter has been committed to giving young, unknown bands in the Rhine-Main-Neckar region a platform - visibility, networking and the chance to prove themselves in front of a real audience. The contest is at the heart of this: a competition that knows no losers, because whoever competes here has already won.

Very special guest: The Paraberries

The crowning finale of the evening is provided by none other than last year's winner: Weinheim-based blues-rock band The Paraberries return to the stage as very special guests.

Catchy riffs, groovy harp solos and a uniquely smoky, warm voice - The Paraberries revive the golden era of rock music in the style of the late 60s with fresh energy. Since 2018, the five guys, all in their early 20s, have been filling clubs and bars from Mannheim to Frankfurt and have performed as a support act for the British rock band The Brew. At every show, they prove why they more than deserved the title of last year's winner.

Improbus

Metal meets alternative rock - with a vengeance. The Karlsruhe-based band Improbus creates songs full of energy and depth from the diverse influences of its members. Thematically, the band moves between fiction and serious social issues, musically more and more clearly in the direction of modern metal. Since their formation in 2019, Improbus have been delighting audiences throughout the region with their creative approaches and rousing shows. The Finale Grande is the next logical stage.

Supermarket Underground

Powerful alternative rock with a touch of synthwave: Supermarket Underground combine energetic songs with atmospheric moments to create a captivating musical journey. Singer, two guitarists, bassist and drummer together create a dense world of sound in which intensity and expansiveness are in balance. Music that gets under your skin - and stays there.

DIESICKNATION

DIESICKNATION from Mannheim is not a name - it's a state. The five-piece metal band, rooted in the metalcore of the early 2000s, has consistently developed this sound further and charged it with modern, individual elements. After the reorientation in 2023, songs were created that address social tensions, inner conflicts and collective conditions - directly, honestly, without compromise. Live, DIESICKNATION sees every performance as an exchange: energy, movement and emotional intensity form the audience into a unit.

Lohr

Four people from Heidelberg who make indie pop the way it feels right. Lohr wander between heated dance songs, communal sing-along moments and handkerchief-demanding ballads. Their songs give space to emotions and moments in life that everyone knows, but rarely get so aptly transformed into music. Live, Lohr look for the rare mixture of energy and intimacy, between sweat and goosebumps - and usually find it.

20 years of Bandsupporter - the anniversary belongs to the music

The Finale Grande on June 6 is more than just a competition. It is a celebration: for the bands who are brave enough to show themselves. For an audience that listens before the rest of the world does. And for two decades of band supporters who have believed that good music deserves a stage - even before anyone else knows about it.
