Stumbling Stone Project: Biographies in pictures. An appeal against forgetting

Who were the people whose names can be found on stumbling blocks in Bremen today? The exhibition "Project Stumbling Stones: Biographies in Pictures" invites you to get to know four of their life stories. It tells the stories of people from Bremen and Bremerhaven who were persecuted during the National Socialist era and who belonged to different victim groups.
In cooperation with the State Agency for Civic Education and the association Erinnern für die Zukunft e. V., illustrated biographies have been created that make individual lives visible and open up a personal approach to history. In addition to the biographies, the exhibition also shows sketches and drafts that provide an insight into the working process and show how a remembrance project is created from historical research and artistic examination.
The illustrations by Bremen illustrator Marcel Fernandez Bücker will be on display at the Haus der Wissenschaft from June 17 to October 27. The opening will take place on June 17 at 5 pm.
