Four arena shows, one goal: nonstop laughter

Comedy stars and rising stars: In 2026, 1LIVE and the COLOGNE COMEDY FESTIVAL will present the who’s who of the German comedy scene with four spectacular 1LIVE Comedy Nights XXL. One show at the Arena Oberhausen on October 21, three in Cologne on October 22, 23, and 24, 2026—and a lineup that’s second to none. WDR will provide cross-media coverage of the event on October 24: on WDR television, on the radio, and via TikTok and YouTube LIVE.

This year’s lineup brings together everything that makes for great comedy: Hosted for the first time by Osan Yaran—who sets his fans’ hearts racing both live and online—the audience can look forward to an evening full of punchlines and top-notch entertainment.

Joining the lineup is Johann König, who has been filling large venues for years with his unmistakably zany observations, and Bastian Bielendorfer, who delights audiences with his hilarious stories about family and everyday life.

The audience can also look forward to Filiz Tasdan, the “Queen of Punchlines,” who just wrapped up her first tour with sold-out shows. Like Filiz, Ana Lucía is also appearing at the 1LIVE Comedy Night XXL for the second time. Born at a time straddling Millennials and Gen Z, she explores the contrasts and contradictions of her life, striking a chord with the spirit of the times.

Among the exciting new voices on the comedy scene are Björn von Morgenstern, Jerry Vsan, and Elli Lizz. For Björn von Morgenstern, 2026 will be the year of the big arenas: Not only is he part of the XXL Nights, but he’ll also be the first newcomer to present his solo show to a massive audience at the LANXESS arena in October. What began in the Cologne hip-hop scene around 2019 has developed into one of the most exciting success stories in German comedy. Jerry Vsan combines his lyrical talent as a rapper with an instinctive sense of timing for stand-up. Although she’s only been performing as a comedian for a little over a year, Elli Lizz’s shows are celebrated throughout Germany. Her stand-up comedy revolves around her life as a single mother, encounters in the train station district, her dating life, and experiences with a teacher at night school.

Simon Stäblein is also on the bill. In his shows, he pokes fun at everyday situations and interpersonal relationships with plenty of irony and charm.
