19. Heidelberger Drachenboot-Cup

When the starting signal for the 19th Heidelberg Dragon Boat Cup is given on July 4, the Neckar will be transformed into a race course for highly motivated teams from companies and clubs in the region. The race starts at 9:30 a.m. at Wassersportclub 1931 Heidelberg-Neuenheim e.V. (WSC): 18 paddlers per boat will compete for victory - not only at the finish line, but also in terms of creativity. In addition to the sporting performance, the team with the most original costume is also awarded a prize.

The Dragon Boat Cup on the Neckarwiese in Heidelberg is not only great fun for the participants - visitors can also look forward to a fun supporting program: delicious barbecue, homemade cakes and cool drinks create the perfect atmosphere on the banks of the river. The races will take place in several rounds, with each team starting on different lanes - a fair system that takes into account the natural currents of the Neckar.

Pink Paddling will be taking part in the Dragon Boat Cup for the first time: women who have been through breast cancer will be paddling here. The Pink Phoenix Heidelberg group has been associated with the WSC for some time. This year, the phoenixes will be competing in their own class against pink colleagues from the region. Pink paddling has proven to be an ideal rehabilitation sport after breast cancer. Interested women are welcome to come along and find out more.
