If you were thinking that HOK was dead and buried 6 feet under… you are totally wrong. Deep down there, in the scum of the earth, HOK worked hard to come out on time with some of the gravest cool stuff.
First it will be Alan Vega. Founder member of Suicide, lover of love, and dreamer of dreams. He who reminds us that we are all Frankies, but also that everyone’s a winner, baby. On the 16th this month it will be 10 years since he passed away and got his wings to reach rock and roll heaven.
As our everlasting hero, St. Alan will be duly hollowed by a brand new HOK-released prayer card, the seventh in a row. The devotional text is by Alan’s Suicide compatriot Martin Rev. Alan’s portrait up front and the design are collage artist Lula Valletta, as exquisite and delicate as ever. And his wife, Liz Lamere, has sent us her blessing.
On the 16th of July there will be an altar of all our former prayer cards; our Punk Rock Saints. So, please join us at the suicide death afterlife party from 8 pm till 2 am in Berlin-Mitte at Eschschloraque (2nd yard of Haus Schwarzenberg), with DJs Mr. Pelham (NL) & Mitraillette (DE). It will be all Vinyl with an exclusively Suicide inspired DJ set. Dream baby dream.
