Some friendships resonate long before they meet. A piano asking questions, a trombone answering back, two voices moving around each other playfully and searchingly. Rita Payés and Lucía Fumero transform their long-standing musical connection into an intimate concert evening full of warmth, depth and delicate nuances.
Their music draws from jazz, folkloric roots and Latin American soundscapes, creating an atmospheric universe entirely their own. The sound emerges through the dialogue between piano, voice, trombone, percussion and guitar, complemented by subtle electronic textures that open secret and cinematic spaces.
In her compositions, Lucía Fumero blends Catalan, Argentinian and Swiss influences with the freedom of jazz. Rita Payés has captivated audiences from a young age with her charismatic stage presence. Whether in English, Spanish or Portuguese, she masterfully combines jazz and bossa nova with her own deeply personal touch, creating an unmistakable atmosphere in her live performances.
The trio is completed by Juan R. Berbín — drummer, producer and refined sonic architect — whose percussion and electronic textures add further atmospheric layers to the music of Rita Payés and Lucía Fumero.
