In „Fools At Work“ verwandelt Hauschoreograf Samir Akika die Bühne in einen Laufsteg der Sehnsüchte und Eitelkeiten. Ein roter Teppich wird zur Spielfläche für sieben Tänzer:innen, die gemeinsam einen Blick auf das Selbstverständnis künstlerischer Arbeit werfen. Gleichermaßen inspiriert von Konzeptkunst und Fashion Shows durchbrechen Akika und die Tänzer:innen von Unusual Symptoms die Hierarchien von Hoch- und Subkultur und vermischen performatives Experiment, künstlerischen Aktivismus und die eskapistischen Freuden des Spätkapitalismus zu einem getanzten Happening zwischen Begehren und Konsum.

In „Fools At Work“, in-house choreographer Samir Akika transforms the stage into a catwalk of desires and vanities. A red carpet becomes a playing field for seven dancers, who together take a look at the self-image of artistic work. Equally inspired by conceptual art and fashion shows, Akika and the dancers of Unusual Symptoms break through the hierarchies of high and subculture and mix performative experiment, artistic activism and the escapist pleasures of late capitalism into a danced happening between desire and consumption.
