Weltnacht: Lucy Kruger and The Lost Boys – Künstlerinnen aus Westfalen und weltweit

Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys is an art-pop/tender-noise band known for its openness to sonic transformation. The project was founded in 2015 by the South African-born frontwoman, singer-songwriter, and guitarist. 

The band’s sound oscillates between restraint and unbridled energy: Kruger’s voice soars through walls of ambient noise, weaving whispers and throaty, ritualistic incantations through a ghostly, post-punk soundscape—a voice that knows exactly when to be silent and when to cry out.
The band’s intense live performances—effortlessly shifting between intimacy and devotion—are celebrated for their emotional precision and power. They are held together by the close, intuitive interplay of Liú Mottes (guitar), Jean-Louise Parker (viola), Gidon Carmel (drums), and Andreas Bonkowski (bass). Their sound draws comparisons to Sonic Youth, PJ Harvey, and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds.

In 2026, the band will release their seventh studio album, “Pale Bloom,” and go on tour—a shimmering sonic emulsion that unfolds within the listener’s body like an awakened desire reaching out into existence.
