WELT/BÜHNE-SALON NR.9

In the organizer's words:

Each author will be introduced to the audience during their residency. In the WELT/BÜHNE Salon, Residenztheater actors will read the guests' fresh texts - followed by a discussion to get to know the authors and ask questions: What role does theater play in their respective home countries? What are the working conditions like? What is the fascination for theater? But also: How do they view us and the German-speaking theater landscape?

Salon No. 9 with Eva Gouda and Andreja Kargačin

These are "the newcomers" to the WELT∕BÜHNE author network: Eva Gouda from Amsterdam and Andreja Kargačin from Belgrade. Both will be coming to Munich for writing residencies lasting several months in the 26∕27 season. We are already introducing them to the public, bringing them into conversation with each other and reading from their texts.

Eva Gouda writes primarily for children and young people. She is interested in weighty social issues, which she deals with in an entertaining way, such as in her play "Puppolism" for three puppeteers, in which she tells of the mechanisms of manipulation and seduction in concise, fast-paced scenes and with a lot of humor.

Andreja Kargačin not only writes, but also works as a performance artist, director, choreographer and visual artist. Her works are political and deal with collective memory, totalitarian regimes and gender roles. In "Dora or Who's Going To Stitch the Vests", invited to the Vienna Festival 2026, she deals with her personal experiences of the recent student protests in Serbia.
