Trio YARÁKÄ | SoundLinks Festival

Since its foundation in 2015, the Yaràkä project has combined African rhythms with Mediterranean and southern Italian musical traditions to create an unmistakable world music sound. The ensemble from Taranto - Gianni Sciambarruto, Virginia Pavone and Simone Carrino - creates music that combines tradition and modernity and is characterized by diverse cultural influences.

At the heart of their artistic work is the idea of rituality and the connection between man, nature and music. With her own compositions and newly interpreted traditional songs, Yaràkä takes the audience on a musical journey from southern Italy to universal worlds of sound. Performances at renowned festivals at home and abroad have made the group a permanent fixture on the European world music scene.
