Trio Rhenia consists of the horn player Juan Guzmán Esteban, the violinist Ai-Ling Chang and the pianist Wan-Yen Li. The ensemble is guided by the inspiration of the Rhine and takes its spirit as the basis for its artistic vision. Based in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, the trio has set itself the task of discovering hidden works and creating new sound colors and musical impulses through the fusion as well as the friction of string, wind and keyboard instruments. In doing so, it aims to expand the boundaries of traditional chamber music with an international perspective. The trio received recognition at the "World's Best Musicians Competition" and the "4Seasons Vienna International Musician Competition".

Program:
Frédéric-Nicolas Duvernoy: Horn Trio No.1
Robert Kahn: Serenade Op.73
Carl Czerny: Premier Grand Trio for violin, horn and piano
Performers:
TRIO RHENIA
Juan Guzman Esteban, horn
Ai-Ling Chang, violin
Wan-Yen Li, piano
Duvernoy's horn trio is characterized by an elegant balance between melodic lightness and harmonic sophistication, with the horn providing both lyrical and rhythmic accents. Kahn's Serenade captivates with gentle, flowing lines and a warm, romantic atmosphere in which the violin and piano play around each other and the horn forms the harmonic center. Czerny's trio combines virtuoso brilliance with classical clarity; the three instruments engage in a masterful dialog and explore the dynamics from delicate pianissimi to powerful fortissimi.
The program presents works that impress with their subtle instrumentation, varied moods and timeless expressiveness. Although music is fleeting the moment it is heard, it has an emotional impact that extends beyond the moment. The result is a concert full of intimacy, poetic timbres and musical discoveries that offers new insights for both lovers of classical chamber music and those interested in the Romantic period.
