Trio Aura: Wurzeln des Nordens und des Südens
In the organizer's words:
The Trio Aura, consisting of the rather unusual combination of flute, violin, and tuba, explores a broad spectrum of sounds. The group focuses on contemporary improvisation, with a special emphasis on folk traditions from the three musicians’ countries of origin: Norway, Spain, and Estonia. Folk melodies, motifs, and stylistic elements from their own cultures serve as the starting point for improvisational structures. The result is a concert experience that flows seamlessly between the familiar and the unexpected—rooted in tradition yet open to experimentation.
Featuring: Ingvild Ness (Norwegian flutist, IEMA Ensembles 25/26), Paul Rodríguez Flys (violinist from Spain, also IEMA Ensembles 25/26), and Toomas Oskar Kahur (Estonian tuba player, Junge Deutsche Philharmonie).
