The Older The Better

What do good red wine, perfectly aged Parmesan, and an experienced blues and rock band have in common? That’s right—the older, the better: The Older, The Better!

The band from the Berlin area has aptly named itselfT.O.T.B., and they draw inspiration from traditional ways of making music. Synthesizers, sampling, loops, Auto-Tune? Devil’s work, according to David Heilmann, Tom Frauenstein, Michael Hohn, Holger Hemke, and Uwe Cooper. They rock authentically and play soulful blues with acoustic instruments, accompanied by vocals that are “rough but heartfelt.”

Their repertoire includes well-known and lesser-known gems by masters and stars spanning five decades of rock, folk, and blues. Of course, it’s all handmade and performed without a safety net.
