Tina Teubner & Ben Süverkrüp - Lieber schön alt werden als hässlich jung bleiben
In the organizer's words:
Loudmouths rule the world; Tina counters with a passionate plea: Don’t for a moment think you can stand up to this madness if, at 95, you’re still looking as naive as if you’d just turned 15!
No foothold, no grounding: There are no longer any final authorities we can trust or blame. Parents aren’t strict parents anymore—they’re friends; teachers aren’t the enemy anymore—they’re just at their wits’ end; and God is queer—unless he’s actually suffering from burnout.
You can bury your head in the sand and, in your desperation, give in to a shopping spree, the obsession with youth, and power plays. But you can also go to Tina Teubner. That’s probably the healthier option. Tina is obsessed with presenting you with a show that wrings humor and optimism out of these tough times. She insists, with absolute certainty, that she’ll finish writing by the time the show starts. Afterward, you can toss your dystopian fantasies into the organic waste bin.
The press attests: “Tina Teubner is and remains the most exciting, enduring, and entertaining woman on the German cabaret scene” (HSA). After 35 years on stage and 17 shows, Tina Teubner’s performances grow wiser, deeper, and funnier with each new show. Her “world theater” needs no revolving stage and no real silk. She creates it with her heart, her razor-sharp mind, a microphone, violin, guitar, singing saw—and, last but not least, with her brilliant pianist Ben Süverkrüp, the man who makes pianos tremble.
Since the beginning of her stage career, Tina Teubner has been honored with nearly every major award for the consistently immense depth of her shows. First Prize in the 1993 National Singing Competition, the German Cabaret Award in 1999 and 2009, the German Cabaret Prize in 2001, the “Gaul von Niedersachsen” in 2020, the “Salzburger Stier” in 2024—and most recently, the Bavarian Cabaret Prize in 2026 (awarded on November 9, 2026).
