For more than 20 years, Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado have established themselves as Denmark’s leading blues rock band. With over 1,500 concerts in 23 different countries, they are among the hardest-working acts on the Danish and European live music scene.

 The band’s dynamic concerts and their ability to blend soul, Chicago blues, boogie, and rock ’n’ roll create a unique musical experience that consistently thrills audiences.

 With Thorbjørn Risager’s powerful voice, Joachim Svensmark’s outstanding guitar playing, and a strong rhythm and horn section, the band has built a reputation for high-energy and rousing live shows where the music both entertains and moves the audience.

 The band has won numerous Danish and international awards, including the Danish Music Awards for “Best Danish Blues Release” and “Best Live Blues Band” in 2023.

 Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado have shared the stage with renowned artists such as Bonnie Raitt, the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Buddy Guy, and Robben Ford. With more than 100,000 physical albums sold and 34 million streams, the band shows no signs of slowing down.

 With their latest studio album, “House of Sticks,” and a live album released on June 19, 2026, they continue their extensive tours across Europe, the UK, and North America, bringing their explosive live shows to both new and longtime fans.
