Binge-watching, but in real life. On September 5, 2026, Hamburg will once again become a stage: for the 22nd Hamburg Theater Night.

Once again, more than 35 theaters will open their doors and curtains for one night, inviting you on a unique journey of discovery through the city’s diverse theater scene.With over 200 program highlights, you’ll have the chance to discover new venues, take a peek behind the scenes, and experience the diverse offerings of Hamburg’s theaters. From major venues to the independent scene, from drama and dance to musical theater—Hamburg Theater Night brings the diversity of theater to life in a single evening.

At Theater Night, the HEAVEN CAN WAIT CHORUS will present an excerpt from their current show “Jetzt erst recht!” (Now More Than Ever!).
For over 10 years, this Hamburg-based choir has been winning over audiences’ hearts. And because you’re never too old—even if you’re over 70—they’re kicking things into high gear with their program “Jetzt erst recht!”! New: They’ll also be performing songs they’ve composed and written themselves. And so, with their latest program, the (G)Oldies are once again rocking the stage: colorful, young, and sassy.
