Symba
In the organizer's words:
Symba is a Berlin-based artist who is one of the most influential and multifaceted voices in the German new-wave rap scene. With songs like “Angels Sippen” and “Blockparty,” millions of streams, and sold-out tours, he has long since established himself as a fixture of a generation that views rap not as a rigid genre, but as an open space for new influences and perspectives. His music moves effortlessly between rap, trap, and melodic elements, combining striking hooks, charisma, and wordplay with an unmistakable artistic style. The result is songs that thrive on energy and lightness as much as on personal observations and moments of reflection.
With his newly released EP *Briefe aus Berlin*, Symba opens the next chapter in his artistic evolution. Synth-heavy productions with new wave influences meet warm, organic soundscapes and lyrics that capture major themes—such as love, friendship, betrayal, and new beginnings—in just a few precise lines. His songs distill powerful emotions into vivid images and create a sound that feels both contemporary and immediate. In doing so, he succeeds in translating personal experiences into music that transcends individual stories and resonates with an entire generation.
This approach unfolds with particular intensity in live performances. Symba is considered one of the most fascinating live acts on the current scene, combining thumping bass, pulsating trap drums, and energetic synths with a stage presence that brings together people from all walks of life. Together with DJ AbuGlitsch, he creates concerts that thrive on movement, spontaneity, and a direct connection with the audience. His shows create an atmosphere where intimacy and grandeur coexist—moments that feel equally like festival euphoria and a personal encounter.
What makes Symba special is the uncompromising honesty he brings from his recordings to the stage. His music oscillates between bittersweet melancholy and infectious lightness, and possesses a keen sense of the moods and contradictions of a generation navigating an ever-faster world. His concerts therefore thrive not only on energy, but equally on authenticity and presence.
At the New Fall Festival, this energy meets a space designed precisely for this purpose: for powerful live moments, focused listening, and the shared experience of an artist who effortlessly crosses genre boundaries while always remaining unmistakably Symba. Blending rap, melody, and live energy, the concert creates an evening defined by movement, intimacy, and musical openness.
