These are uncertain times; the fun is over. Or is it? Sunna simply takes her audience into the forest to make them laugh. Even there, patriarchal unease and undemocratic machinations lurk behind many an oak tree. Nevertheless, this cabaret evening finds its way through the impenetrable thicket of today’s identity crises, societal fears, and fragile concepts of freedom. Who are we, and who puts out the fire when the forest burns? Is it a crime to remain inactive?
Along the way, strange figures cross the path. They are (un)likable and
offer no explanation for the world. Perhaps they’ll offer shelter. Sunna brings feminism, punchlines, and poetry... and whenever things get nasty, lighthearted music fills the air. Amid doomsday scenarios and unruly weeds, there are opportunities to help shape the future. With humor and solidarity? Absolutely!
