With the Sun Ra Arkestra, he pushed the boundaries of free jazz and wove Afrofuturist thought with interstellar metaphors into a cosmic mission. Director Christine Turner paints a kaleidoscopic portrait using archival footage, Arkestra recordings, and expert insights.
