In this workshop , we’ll dive into the ancient art of straw star making . Using fine craft straw (and a little patience), we’ll create delicate stars that have been used for centuries as festive decorations for windows and Christmas trees.
Step by step, you’ll learn how to prepare the straw, shape it, and secure it with thread. We’ll work with three classic patterns that are easy for beginners to learn and will teach you the traditional basic technique and its variations.
At the end of the course, you’ll take home your handmade stars, which are perfect as sustainable, timeless decorations or gifts.
