Die unsichtbaren Frauen von Friedrichshain - Stadttour
In the organizer's words:
Invisible and unmissable - stories of women from Friedrichshain
Friedrichshain is full of history.
The only question is: whose history?
This city tour shows you the neighborhood from a perspective that is almost always missing from the cityscape - and yet is inscribed everywhere: the stories of women.
Between Strausberger Platz and the East Side Gallery, we move through places that at first glance seem everyday - and at second glance tell a completely different story of the city.
It's not about "the great names of history".
It's about the traces, struggles, ruptures and lives that have shaped Friedrichshain without being made visible in the cityscape.
What you can expect:
- A change of perspective on the neighborhood
- Places you see every day - but learn to read anew
- Stories of women who have lived, worked and made an impact here
- a city tour that politically and historically charges everyday places
Who this tour is for:
- For anyone who not only wants to see Berlin, but wants to understand it.
- For people who are curious about stories that otherwise remain invisible in the cityscape.
- And for anyone who wants to get to know Friedrichshain in a new way.
Tour details:
- Meeting point: Strausberger Platz 12 (near the Karl Marx bust)
- End: East Side Gallery
- Distance: approx. 2.4 km on foot
