What actually happens to worn-out backpacks, old favorite bags, or even truck tarps that are far too good to throw away?
At Atelier Jobinski in Munich’s Westend, they get a second chance. We’ll visit designer Joachim Büttner there in the morning and watch him upcycle materials at his sewing machine.
In the afternoon, we’ll get hands-on at the Kinderkunsthaus and brainstorm cool things we can sew from discarded materials. Do you have a favorite item you’d like to repurpose in the workshop? Feel free to bring it along or choose something suitable for your project from the materials available on-site. Turn old into new—join us!

Tickets: Includes MVV ticket, materials, and lunch: 78 € / reduced rate for siblings: 68.25 €, plus advance booking fee
