Smash Comedy Pride Special: die Queerfeministische Stand Up Show
In the organizer's words:
SMASH COMEDY is coming to Erfurt!! Hamburg’s queer-feminist stand-up comedy club is going on a CSD tour to celebrate the queerness of the German stand-up scene: Five to eight professionals and newcomers will take turns at the mic to test out their latest jokes and stories. - Presented by Smash founder, musician, and stand-up comedian Schwessi from Hamburg.
What makes it special: the SMASH COMEDY stage belongs only to those who are extremely underrepresented in the scene (which is dominated by white, hetero, cis men). Instead of giving a platform to dick jokes, “my girlfriend” jokes, and racist stereotypes, we want to create visibility for the voices and lived realities that are otherwise merely the targets of these unoriginal jokes.
Combat discrimination with maximum fun, awareness, and the power of diversity! Get inspired, show solidarity, and flex your empathy muscles! And then let’s laugh so hard together that patriarchal structures start to crumble ever so quietly…
