Gwendolin and Franky are Grateful Cat. A songwriting duo from Berlin influenced by the spirit of the 60s, by Laurel Canyon and the New York folk and beat scene, by the Byrds and the Velvet Underground. The two original Berliners are in love with classic songwriting, retro power pop and indie folk with beautiful harmonies. With alternating lead vocals, they sing about everyday absurdities and political doomsday issues - from speeding food delivery drivers to digital twilight. It's as if Jonathan Richman and Kim Deal had formed a band.
