Darwin Stapel plays sets for the dance floor, characterized by tension, groove and a clear musical dramaturgy, with house music as the foundation and attitude. House classics from Chicago and New York meet old skool records as well as deep and tech cuts. This results in sets that combine the familiar with the unexpected, carried by distinctive vocals and an unmistakable underground character.

As a professional dancer, his musical approach is deeply rooted in movement: body-based, intuitive and direct. Over long arcs of tension, he develops sets with a clear direction and feel for the moment. As co-founder of A Side Berlin, he is also committed to creating a local platform with a focus on a house music dance party that puts BIPoC and queer communities at the center.

With shows in London and beyond, including Dalston Superstore, brama, the Berlinale and a Beatport streaming session, as well as upcoming parties such as "House of Pride" on July 25th, the official Berlin CSD after party, his momentum continues to build.
