Sinfoniekonzert Opus125 „Wiener Dialog“
In the organizer's words:
VIENNA DIALOG – Masterpieces of the Viennese Classical and Romantic Periods
The Opus 125 Symphony Orchestra invites you to a special concert on November 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Jakobus Church in Jüchen. Under the musical direction of Javier Álvarez Fuentes, the audience can look forward to a varied program that brings the musical world of Vienna to life in all its diversity.
The concert opens with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s lively overture to the opera *Der Schauspieldirektor*, which captivates with its charm, wit, and lightness. This will be followed by the famous Sinfonia concertante for violin and viola in E-flat major, K. 364—one of the most beautiful double concertos in music history. The solo parts will be performed by Kim Seowon (violin) and Angel Muñoz-Vella (viola).
The evening culminates with Franz Schubert’s monumental Symphony No. 8 in C major, “The Great.” With its sonic breadth, powerful themes, and stirring dynamics, it ranks among the most significant symphonic works of the 19th century and simultaneously bridges the gap between the Viennese Classical period and Romanticism.
Look forward to an inspiring evening of music full of musical encounters and impressive timbres.
