Seyda Kurt: Zeit der Monster (Universen)

Following*Radical Tenderness*and*HATE*, Seyda Kurt’s debut novel*Time of Monsters*is now being published—somewhere between a furious epic and the most colorful pop, between an existential opera and the warmest soap opera, the author explores what opportunities lie in the collapse of all orders.

Seyda Kurt takes readers into a neighborhood during the apocalypse—or so more and more people believe, spurred on by a prophecy racing through the internet. Meanwhile, young Sanya roams the wild, ruined streets, a pistol in her backpack—until one day she encounters a strange figure.

Seyda Kurt has workedfor Zeit Online and Deutschlandfunk Kultur, among others, as well as on podcasts; she has curated events for the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin and the Goethe-Institut, among others, and has written plays.
