About the Residency
How do strangers become a dancing community?
“Sense of Community”explores an unusual premise: it aims to transform people who are strangers to one another into an active community for the duration of a performance. Within a framework developed specifically by INTER-ACTIONS, the audience plays a very special role.
“Sense of Communityis a title designed to allow for a wide variety of situations, because all content and choreography are defined and shaped by the audience. Through a live experiment, we aim to create an immersive experience within a performance and truly share artistic processes with the audience. It is a structure that does not shy away from uncertainty and chaos and can emerge spontaneously with ever-changing groups of people.
For us, the relevance of the project lies in the desire to use art to create platforms for community and solidarity and to seek out new opportunities for connection.” /INTER-ACTIONS
