We cordially invite you to our joint seminar with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation:

Persons with disabilities worldwide: rights, resources, realities
After the Global Disability Summit and before the post-2030 agenda

While international aid budgets are decreasing, accessible education, healthcare, assistance services and the work of self-advocacy organizations are coming under increasing pressure. For many people around the world, less support means less participation, less protection and fewer prospects for the future. At the same time, global crises, wars and massive cuts in development cooperation particularly affect those who are already excluded.

The Global Disability Summit 2025 in Berlin made it clear that disability inclusion and mainstreaming must not remain a marginal issue. For the first time, the international community has committed to measurable progress with the goal of "15 percent for the 15 percent". But political commitments alone are not enough. The decisive factor is how we act now.

That is why we would like to discuss this with you:

• What responsibility does development cooperation bear in times of global cutbacks?

• How can real international solidarity be achieved?

• What voices have been missing from political debates so far?

• And what concrete contributions can civil society, education and politics make?

You can look forward to two days of impulses, experience reports, discussions and practical perspectives for everyone who wants to think about global justice and inclusion together.
