Anna Allers has been organizing the best knitting get-togethers and events in Hamburg since 2021. Together with the Savoy, she cordially invites you to our knitting movie night.

We’ll meet up for some relaxed conversation even before the movie starts. A welcome drink is included. Afterward, we’ll head into the theater together to enjoy the film in its original language.

About the movie

Bridget Jones (Renée Zellweger) is overweight, smokes, drinks, and speaks her mind. Her love life is a mess. Against her better judgment, she begins an affair with her arrogant boss, Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant), only to be dumped by him shortly thereafter. Her path then crosses with that of the snobbish lawyer Darcy (Colin Firth). So far, however, their encounters have been rather awkward.

In this film adaptation of Helen Fielding’s bestseller, Renée Zellweger convincingly takes on the role of a self-deprecating woman in her thirties and shines with perfect comedic timing. This lively comedy about the search for Mr. Right is full of warm, charming self-deprecating humor.
